The ECD Lunch offers brands, manufacturers, partners and marketplaces the ideal platform for personal discussions on everything to do with e-commerce. This time we were in France for the very first time with our event. And not just anywhere, but right in the sparkling capital of Paris. In short presentations, the guests were informed about partner programs and services from Tradebyte partners and international platforms. On stage were Zalando, Allegro and La Redoute, among others. And that on a spectacular roof terrace and the Eiffel Tower in the background. But it is best to let our colleagues on site tell you about the highlights of the ECD Lunch Paris.
Alexander Otto, Head of Communications
It is a special feeling when you come to the location at 7 am and see the Eiffel Tower within your grasp. It was a dream day: warm and clear, blue sky and hardly any wind. Perfect weather setup for a rooftop event!
The mood was relaxed right from the start. That was certainly due to the spectacular location and the weather – but also to the wonderful characters who come together at the ECD events. People who want to do business. But in their own way. Relaxed and in dialogue, open and ready to talk, personable and full of know-how.
The elevator pitches and meetings took place at the same time, and the entire roof was used. There were around 75 visitors, so that everyone had the chance to meet the people they wanted to talk to in peace. During the pitches, the speakers demonstrated their stand-up skills: there was neither a screen nor a projector, what counted was the story alone. And what can I say: it worked! „
Zakaria Zahi, Sales Manager
With the ECD Lunch Paris we wanted to give French brands the opportunity to find out about their expansion into other European countries. On the other hand, this event is also ideal for international brands and platforms to find out about the French market directly on site. We were also able to familiarize the French market with the Tradebyte ecosystem.
Our motto is: quality before quantity. Because a small setting enables really good conversations. I also had the opportunity to make customers known to each other and to exchange ideas with platforms. I am already looking forward to the upcoming events and thank all guests who made the ECD Lunch Paris an unforgettable day. «
Katharina Caracciolo, Strategic Partner Manager
The ECD Lunch offers our partners the opportunity to concentrate on connecting with brands and channels in a relaxed atmosphere. As a partner manager, I am primarily interested in ensuring that events like the ECD Lunch Paris run smoothly for the Tradebyte partners. When my partners are happy, I am happy too.
On the grandiose rooftop with a view over the whole of Paris, we have of course also made areas available for the partners on site. They also had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the guests in small pitches. Some of the partners were particularly creative, which made me very happy. „
Stefan Röttger, Teamlead Key Account Management
The French market is incredibly exciting and relevant for Tradebyte with a rapidly growing number of customers. We currently work with 20 French brands. With the ECD Lunch Paris we now had the chance for the first time to present ourselves to our French brands, interested parties and platforms personally and on site.
The atmosphere was terrific and our guests were able to exchange ideas about existing and future collaborations in a relaxed atmosphere under the Parisian sun. Networking is and will remain an important part of our business, which is why the ECD format is so important for e-commerce. I’m always happy about the great response and positive feedback from the guests, and in the end we all benefit from the opportunities that arise. „
Carsten Feiler, Teamlead Sales & Enabling
One of the absolute highlights was definitely the location. With a view of the Eiffel Tower and bright sunshine, networking is even more fun. What I also really liked is the stand-up format. In a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, I was able to exchange ideas with customers and channels very well. One of the things I learned from the many interesting conversations was that the French market is definitely keen to get deeper into the platform business. I am particularly looking forward to supporting retailers in their digital transformation to their own platform.
For team spirit, an event like the ECD Lunch Paris is of course particularly nice. It feels a bit like a little school trip every time. The evening before dinner with colleagues and channels on a boat on the Seine was the ideal preparation for a productive day full of personal meetings with the big players in e-commerce. „
Frederique Bergmann, Sales Manager
With an event like the ECD Lunch, we can give Tradebyte a face and strengthen personal relationships with customers, partners and channels. Otherwise you mainly know each other from emails or phone calls. I think it’s great to be part of it.
The contributions in the elevator pitches and the personal conversations with the market squares were very well received by the guests and the great location was anyway. Nowhere is there better networking than on the rooftops of Paris, right? „
Andrej Richter, Key Channel Manager
The ECD format is simply fantastic, bringing retailers or manufacturers and marketplaces together for networking is and remains a brilliant idea. So far we only have a select group of customers in the French market. So I was all the more pleased that so many leads and interested parties came to the ECD Lunch Paris. This shows how relevant the platform business and the marketplaces and platforms from the Tradebyte portfolio are for France.
Thanks to the Who’s Next fashion fair, which was taking place at the same time, the ECD lunch participants were able to attend two great events in one day. Frederic Maus, Director General at Who’s Next, invited us to Who’s Next at the end of the ECD Lunch, where we toasted the successful day with a glass of champagne.“
