EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC AGAIN: THE ECD RETURNS TO MUNICH!
After a three-year, pandemic-induced break, the return of the ECD in Munich is now the hottest digital retail event of 2023!
Proudly hosted by Tradebyte, this opportunity-making event at the prestigious Wappenhalle in Munich gives platform players access to high-level experts and 1-to-1 meetings with an extraordinary ecosystem of the fashion and lifestyle industry and other powerful marketplaces! The day is also packed with insightful masterclasses and lectures led by the who’s who of digital retail experts but most importantly, a stellar chance to make game-changing, next-level connections, the ECD way.
Brands, retailers, and marketplaces can take advantage of key traits such as:
- 500+ participants from the EU and UK
- An extraordinary environment full of retailers & ecosystem partners
- A fully advertised meeting Lounge with 200+ 1-to-1 meetings
- High-level experts from the fashion & lifestyle industry
What’s new this time around?
It is not only a comeback but also a reinvention after the long hiatus, with a new and improved ECD Gate for ticketing, setting up meetings, and overall access to the event. Not to mention a new state-of-the-art convention area as part of its dynamic event design, the ECD enters a new phase of being the most relevant networking event for all the movers and shakers of the marketplace business.
What makes the ECD different from other e-commerce networking events?
The goal for the ECD, which stands for Engage, Connect, Digitize, was always simple – to foster relationships between platform players big and small, help expand their networks, meet potential partners, discover robust solutions to their challenges, and gain fresh perspectives from their peers.
We found that many of the most impactful partnerships and opportunities are born from these in-person interactions. Since its start, Tradebyte CEO Matthias Schulte has held dear the notion, ”The real reason for the success of the ECD is you, the guests.” This statement upholds the values of the ECD in that “Platform Business is People Business.”
Here’s what’s participants have said about the ECD to this date:
“The ECD stands out from the hundreds of trade fairs and events with its captivating atmosphere. The visitors not only bring outstanding competence but also communicate with one another on a very personal, human level.” -Sandra Herdering, Laudert
“The ECD is an intense day full of excitement! We were able to meet a lot of brands and retailers that showed authentic interest in our platform to expand internationally.” -Aimé Matondo Fundani, Trendyol
“It was really great to be able to talk to other platforms, I normally only talk to brands. To participate in panels and have the time to build partnerships is a great thing and we had a fun time as well.” -Lorédane Bourscheidt, La Redoute
“After a long pandemic, it was great to connect with people from all over the world about what’s happening in e-commerce and build connections.”
-Laurenz Ochsenfarth, FIEGE
What’s powerful about the ECD is that it brings like-minded individuals, sharing experiences and knowledge, and making valuable connections. The event will feature scheduled networking sessions, expert panels, and classes and of course, an open bar to ignite game-changing conversations.
Since its start in 2017, returning participants from all over Europe continue to mention three things that consistently come to mind about the ECD:
First, the ECD always offers a format that is both up-to-date and exciting, creating an atmosphere of humility and simplicity that encourages meaningful conversations. Secondly, platform players and digital retail enthusiasts gain valuable insights from a line-up of successful experts who provide an honest look at the e-commerce industry, how it currently works, and the best ways to succeed in the business. Furthermore, an impressive ecosystem of digital retail professionals is formed, and 1-to-1 meetings between them create successful stories and breakthroughs that challenge the digital retail landscape.
The ECD in Munich is only less than eight weeks away with Scayle Commerce Engine, leading as the main sponsor, and Exporto, as the meeting lounge sponsor.
